Celeste is based in the Jordaan, whose canal-side terraces are where many evenings begin and some of them end. She switches easily between Portuguese and English. Her formats are nuru and body-to-body, and she chooses on the night what a session includes. At twenty-three she is relaxed about late hours and firm about one thing: a guest with a few drinks behind him is still expected to be courteous, and a session that stops being courteous can end early. The door, the lighting and the hour are his to arrange before she arrives. Body to body with her uses forearms, torso and legs as well as hands, in long movements along the whole body, with warm oil topped up as the session goes on. Her limits are set out before anything starts and hold until she leaves. If one of them is pressed, the visit stops there, and from the moment she reached the door the fee for the reserved time stays due, with whatever was sent ahead counted towards it.
